Las Vegas offers something for everyone, including a great women’s basketball tournament, the "Duel in the Desert." Hosted by UNLV, this tournament offers two Counting games in a single 4-team championship bracket.

Games are played at the Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. This newly constructed 3,000-seat arena is home to the UNLV women’s basketball team and provides an intimate and electric venue for intense competition.

The glamorous New York-New York Hotel & Casino™ will be the official host hotel of the Duel in the Desert. From its towering skyline to round-the-clock excitement, New York-New York Hotel & Casino™ truly lives up to its reputation as The Greatest City in Las Vegas. The hotel’s 2,023 guest rooms and suites are cleverly situated within famous New York City-style skyscrapers and offer incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip. And the Manhattan Express® Roller Coaster promises to be a thrilling ride filled with white-knuckled excitement.

Booking Procedures
All tournaments are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you have called us and indicated your interest in participating, Basketball Travelers, Inc. will send you a contract to be returned within three weeks of receipt.

Tentative Tournament Itinerary:
Day #1: Arrive in Las Vegas, practice
Day #2: Tournament Game; ride Manhattan Express® roller coaster
Day #3: Tournament Game; ride Monorail around Las Vegas
Day #4: Depart for home

In Las Vegas you will stay at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino™, with over 2,000 guest rooms and suites that offer incredible views of the Las Vegas Strip. With nine restaurants on property, dining is a journey into the many tastes of New York City.

Your Tournament Package Includes
