Miami Downs Marist On Final Day of Paradise Jam

Amber Tretter turned in a 10-point, 13-rebound double-double while Amber Scalia led Miami University with 13 points as the Redhawks (5-3) downed Marist 63-37 (2-6) in the third place game of the Reef Division of the 2025 Paradise Jam.

After a slow start to the game that saw Marist take a 14-10 lead after the opening quarter, Miami took over, outscoring Marist 22-7 in the second quarter and never looking back. Using a 21-0 run along the way, Miami extended its lead to as many as 30 points in the closing minutes of the game.

Ilse de Vries also reached double figures, scoring 11 points. Jackie Piddock and Lexie Tarul tied for the Marist lead with nine points apiece.

Miami returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 3, with a road game at Cincinnati, while Marist will play next on Sunday, Dec. 7, with a road game at Lafayette.
